Feb 24 - 27

Hello everyone!

Important reminders:

  • All students (from K-5) should always keep a change of clothes in their backpacks that they can change into if they get wet or muddy. This includes socks, pants, shirts and underwear. Having clothes to change into will ensure they are comfortable and that they classroom is staying clean.
  • Please make sure that your child is keeping track of their library books as many books are overdue. If they are not returned, students will not be able to sign out new books. If they are still not returned by the end of the year, you will have to pay a fee for the lost book.
  • **If your child is sick, has vomited, has a fever, or has a stomachache, we ask that they please stay home from school. You can call the illness at 403-817-3444 and press 1 for the Attendance Line. It is best if you call in prior to 8:15 so we have time to take the messages off the machine. Please note, to reduce the spread of viruses, students should not be back at school until 48 hours after the last vomiting incident.***
  • Please review the following expectations at home. It is critical that we work together to create a positive, safe learning environment for all.
    • Respect Our Space – Our learning environment is a shared space, and we all play a role in keeping it clean and welcoming. Please enjoy gum/candy outside of school, remove outdoor shoes when entering the building, and take responsibility for cleaning up after yourself.
    • Take Responsibility – Stay in the classroom during learning time unless given permission to leave for the bathroom or a body break. Make responsible choices that support both your own learning and the learning of others.
    • Show Respect to All Adults and Peers – We communicate with kindness and respect. This means listening attentively, responding politely, following instructions without arguing, and treating both peers and adults with courtesy. Eye-rolling, dismissive behaviour, or disrespectful actions are not acceptable.
    • Be Accountable for Your Learning – Learning requires effort and commitment. Stay on task, complete assignments in the allotted time, and take ownership of your progress. Your effort contributes to both your success and a positive classroom environment.
    • Foster a Positive Learning Environment – Everyone deserves a space where they can focus and participate. Show respect by taking turns speaking, listening actively, and keeping hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
