Feb 3 - 7
Happy February!
Important reminders:
- We will recognize and acknowledge Valentine's Day on Wednesday, February 12th in 4B. We will be learning about kindness, gratitude, friendships, and small, thoughtful gestures and how they impact others around us. If students want to exchange Valentine's cards/notes, please respect the following expectations:
- Each child should receive a card/note. It is not expected to bring cards/notes, however, if you decide to participate, you must ensure that no student is left out.
- What is written in the cards/notes is kind and school appropriate.
- A list of first names will come home with your child today/Monday.
Here is what we have been up to this week:
Literacy Stations - Are going well!
Buddies - We saw our buddies twice this week. We braided some yarn for our story vines and today, we practiced telling our stories to our buddies!
ELAL - Oral Storytelling - We finished up our story vines. We have been listening to Indigenous stories, drawing what happens in those stories, and practicing telling stories to partners.
Math - We are learning about Patterns and Sequences! This has been an easy task for all of us. Our Show What You Know will be next week.
Health - We applied what we have been learning in health. For our scenarios, we have talked with our peers about how we can handle the scenarios.
P.E. - We are learning how to skip.
Social Studies - We learned about keystone species (wolf) and how it has changed the ecosystem of the Yellowstone National Park.
Art - Fibonacci Art and Geometric Hearts!
Congratulations to our Read to Win winners from January! Make sure your child is reading everyday as this will greatly benefit their academics.
Have a restful weekend :)
